TestAway2022 - My Experience

To go or not to go, was the question with the #TestAway announcement by The Test Tribe during the #TestFlix2022.
In discussion with past attendees, I decided to GO for #TestAway #GOA 🌊🌴

Reaching There:
Reaching Goa at 6:00 am on Thursday morning, I headed directly towards the beach to fulfill my quench to see the sunrise. Reaching the beach, I realized that the sun rose to see the sea through coconut trees ☹️. But I managed to click sea-sand-sun-trees in one frame 😃. After exploring the beach, I reached the venue. I was the first to reach the venue among all attendees, for our next three days' stay.

About 4 Days:
1) Through the interesting fun game, we got to know each other's names. Then everyone shared their story and experience excluding the social media information. We all participated in two different discussions:
a. Roundtable(a new concept for me) with the topic 'Are we earning enough?'
b. Brainstorming on how can we contribute to our potential to the organization & get paid well(the topic name is as I remember while writing this blog).
All enjoyed playing the #Mafia game post-dinner, which I missed all three days😞 .

2) The next day morning when Geosley, Sandeep, and I were having a discussion, our legs chose to move forward step by step. Others chose to stick to the bed because of the last night's #mafia 😁. Post breakfast, Ajay brought only 5 models for us in his session and those were: Inversion, Framing, Map is not Territory, Second Order Thinking, and Opportunity Cost. These models are best for the brain. This was followed by Sandeep's session on Jmeter. I enjoyed both sessions. How I could forget about Mahesh giving us a certain amount 🤑(so kind of you, Mahesh 😉)? And we continued the discussion on investment from the previous day's roundtable.

3) Breathing is the most important and at the same time, the most ignored part of our life. A day started with a yoga #gyan by (with many adjectives, not to be disclosed🙃) Sayali. After a delicious breakfast, we all created a test report - an activity given by Ajay. The light talk by Raghu on the #opensource contribution redirected us to a rat race in the stomach. Before heading for dinner at a beachside restaurant, we spent time creating exclusive memories for ourselves and social media posts. Saturday night bazaar for shopping completed our visit to the city.

4) And it was a TakeAway day with learning from everyone, appreciation notes to everyone, participation certificates, cake cutting, and lots of memories.

About the people I met:
